Our team is experienced and dedicated to working with patients of all ages and we take pride in providing care according to your specific requirements that is delivered in a comfortable, caring environment. Some of the services that we offer include:
Gentle Dental Hygiene Services
Our experienced dental hygienists thoroughly assess your teeth and gums in order to detect the presence of any tooth or gum disease. They gently remove the harmful deposits that accumulate on your teeth that can contribute to gum and other dental diseases. If the presence of any gum disease is detected, the dental hygienists use specific methods to stop the disease progression and at times even eradicate the disease. They will also educate you in a comfortable, non-threatening manner to show you how best to take care of your teeth and gums to address and prevent dental diseases.

Tooth Movement Procedures
Sometimes in order to achieve the smile you are looking for, orthodontics or tooth-moving procedures may be required. Often with adults we can create the necessary tooth movement by using “Invisilign”: a method of using a series of clear tooth splints that gradually move the teeth to their desired location. When the services of an Orthodontist are required to achieve the desired tooth movement, we work with closely with an Orthodontist who is located in our building.

Veneers
Veneers may be recommended for the front or “anterior” teeth as this cosmetic approach provides an aesthetic, tooth-coloured shell over the front of the teeth only to help whiten, close gaps, resized or reshape your teeth. We often use a type of veneer called “Lumineers” that is very strong so it allows us to place the veneer with minimal and sometimes no removal of the natural tooth.

White Composite Fillings
These are resin-based filling materials that come in various shades that are carefully selected to match your natural teeth to replace decayed or missing tooth structure.

Amalgam or Silver Fillings
These are a cost-effective method of replacing decay in the back or “posterior” teeth.

Gold Fillings or “Crowns”
While these restorations are more costly than silver fillings, the precious metal in these last for numerous years, providing exceptional value. In addition, because gold fillings last longer, it means that you are preserving tooth structure as more tooth usually needs to be cut away each time a filling is replaced. A “crown” is often referred to as a “cap” and simply means that it covers the entire tooth rather than just filling in part of the tooth.

White Porcelain Fillings
At times porcelain fillings or crowns will be required where a tooth-coloured filling or crown is desired as porcelain is generally stronger than a white composite filling.

“Bridges”, Partial or Full Dentures
A “bridge” may be fabricated that is permanently attached to teeth on either side of a missing tooth or teeth in order to replace the missing tooth or teeth. If the space is large, a partial denture that is custom designed to carefully attach to the remaining teeth may be required. We also provide full dentures to comfortably replace the teeth of an entire jaw.

Implants
Increasingly, implants are gaining in popularity as an effective means of replacing missing teeth. The extremely high success rate and relative ease of placement are the prime reasons why more patients are seeking implants.
We work closely with highly skilled surgeons who place the implants for us. We then do the required work and have the tooth structure fabricated that is then attached to the implants.

Endodontics or “Root Canal” Procedures
Occasionally, and for reasons that we don’t always understand, the nerve or pulp within the tooth can become infected. In order to preserve the tooth, we will remove all the infection, disinfect the canal area within the root of the tooth by killing the bacteria causing the infection and fill the canal so that the infection is unlikely to recur.

Extractions
When required, we have the experience to remove teeth with little to no discomfort. As this can be a distressing procedure for some, we will provide a medication to help a patient relax prior to the procedure if desired.

Desensitizing Treatments
Sometimes the gum tissue can be eroded away from the tooth exposing a small portion of the root of the tooth. At times this can be very painful and even equivalent to a “tooth ache”. Other times the teeth become very sensitive to hot and cold or sweet foods or beverages. Our team can identify and apply medicaments best suited for the specific situation that will decrease and even eliminate this tooth sensitivity.

“Bruxism” or Tooth Grinding Guards
Sometimes people can be grinding or clenching their teeth in their sleep without even being aware that they have these habits. This can create considerable damage to the teeth and the bone around the teeth and other supporting structures. In these cases, we recommend that a guard that just covers the tops of the teeth be fabricated and worn at night to prevent further tooth destruction.

Sports Guards
We make custom sports mouth guards to comfortably fit over your teeth to provide superior protection. They can help prevent breaking teeth or concussions.
